1884-1893

Charles Gore – Founder of the Community of the Resurrection, now at Mirfield; afterwards Vicar of Radley, Canon of Westminster Abbey, Bishop of Worcester, first Bishop of Birmingham, and Bishop of Oxford.

1893-1897

Robert Lawrence Ottley – Afterwards Vicar of Winterbourne Basset in Wiltshire, Regius Professor of Pastoral Theology at the University and Canon of Christ Church.

1897-1909

Vincent Stuckey Stratton Coles – A founding Priest Librarian, and noted hymnwriter. Afterwards Warden of the Community of the Epiphany at Truro, Chaplain of The King’s School, Taunton, and Canon of Christ Church.

1909-1934

Darwell Stone – Oversaw the construction of the present buildings, and left the Principalship for retirement.

1934-1951

Archibald Frederic Hood – Afterwards Priest-in-Charge of St Mary Aldermary in the City of London, and then Canon Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral.

1951-1970

Francis Hugh Maycock – Afterwards Chaplain to the Sisters of the Love of God at Burwash.

1970

Barry Marshall, OGS – Died before his installation.

1970-1981

Cheslyn Peter Montague Jones – Afterwards a parish priest in the Diocese of Peterborough.

1982-2002

Philip Ursell – Afterwards Warden of Ascot Priory and Canon of the Diocese of the Rio Grande, New Mexico.
