Visiting

All are welcome to visit Pusey House.

Visiting Groups

The Principal and Chapter are always happy to welcome groups to visit the House. These usually occur on Saturdays in Full Term but other times can be arranged. The Saturday programme is as follows:

10.30 a.m. Arrival

11 a.m. Mass (Said in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel)

11.30 a.m. Tour of the House (Chapel, Library and Archive)

12.30 p.m. Lunch

4 p.m. Solemn Evening Prayer (and Benediction)

The House offers a catered buffet luncheon for parties of 25 or over. Groups of under 25, or other groups may bring a packed lunch and the House will provide drinks.

After Lunch there is an opportunity for free time in Oxford. It is sometimes possible to arrange a guided walking tour of the city and University with an accredited guide. Fees are available on request.

Charges: The House does not make any charge for a group visit but invites a donation to support the continuing work of the House. There is a charge for catering:

Buffet Luncheon £7.00 per head; Buffet Luncheon with wine £9.00 per head; Tea/Coffee £1.00 per head.

The House also offers QUIET DAYS when there is a similar outline programme with, in addition, two or three addresses by members of the Chapter or a Guest conductor. Rooms are available for quiet and reading. Opportunities for Confession are also available. These days are tailored to the needs of individual groups and need to be discussed and arranged well in advance.

ALL GROUP BOOKINGS SHOULD BE DISCUSSED WITH FATHER WILLIAM DAVAGE WHOSE DETAILS WILL BE FOUND ON THE CONTACTS PAGE.

Guestmaster

The Guestmaster is Father Barry Orford. It may be possible for guests to be accommodated in the House, depending on availability. Accommodation is on a self-catering basis, but guests are welcome to use the kitchen and public rooms during their stay.
