This lecture will explore how Augustine’s understanding of the voice and its relevance for a Christian public presence interacts with a broader Christological understanding of the human person and its forms of expression.
Traditional sources like conf. and scholarly milestones like P. Burnell’s The Augustinian Person (CUP 1992) will be combined with fresh insights drawn from Augustine’s sermonic commentaries on Scripture.
